Sag Harbor Real Estate
Sag Harbor is one of the prettiest locations on Long Island. Located on the northern part of the South Fork, Sag Harbor is home to one of the most exclusive deep-water harbors in the nation. Sag Harbor also boasts pristine sailing waters. The quaint village of Sag Harbor is filled with small cottages built close together in the tradition of New England fishing villages. Sag Harbor was originally home to a successful whaling industry, and the mansions of several prominent whaling captains still exist today along Sag Harbor's main drag. Although not adjacent to any ocean beaches, Sag Harbor is home to some of the most beautiful bay beaches on Long Island. The Sag Harbor Sag Harbor is a village that is shared by the Southampton and East Hampton towns, although most of the village lies in Southampton. Sag Harbor is a nice retreat from the bustle of the other villages in the Hamptons, as it tends to be somewhat quieter than East Hampton or Southampton. However, during the summer Sag Harbor springs to life with a vibrant art scene led by the Bay Street Theater, home to repeat performer Julie Andrews.
